ALL.jpg  Forever Remembered

Past council president, Silver Buffalo awardee and national board member of the Boy Scouts of America, Al Fisher passed from this life in March, 2015. Many of us attended his memorial service in Visalia and it was an uplifting service that inspired us all. Sequoia Council would like to thank those who sent in memorial gifts in honor of Al. This support will continue his legacy of serving our youth. We remember and miss Al.

FDL.png  Dan Maxfield Honored

On Friday evening, May 22, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia our Dan Maxfield joined a select group of Scouting and national leaders (including Ambassador Andrew Young) to receive the highest honor the Boy Scouts of America can bestow on a volunteer, the Silver Buffalo honor. Some of us had the privilege to be in attendance. Dan of course has a lifetime of service to Scouting and the Order of the Arrow. Dan has served at the unit, district, council, region and national levels for many years on several committees. Currently, Dan is the Sequoia Council Vice President of Operations which concerns the needs of each district key three and the health of the districts. We are so proud of Dan and all the work and effort he puts into the Scouting program.
